What is an ultra-triathlon?

Ultra-triathlon can be defined as a distance longer than one full-length triathlon. One full-length triathlon is 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling and 42.2 km of running. Ultra-triathlon is known in two different formats - "continuous" and "day-by-day". In the "Continuous" format, all three disciplines are done continuously one after the other and the time does not stop before the end of the last discipline (i.e. run). The "day by day" format means one full-length triathlon on each consecutive day.
Once again, it is time to go a step further. This time I will do 60 full length triathlons (swim 3.8 km + bike 180 km + run 42.2 km) for 60 consecutive days. When I crossed the finish line of the 40-time ultratriathlon on November 6, 2019, it was clear to me that this would not be my last such challenge. From the last time, I gained experience and knowledge that I could go further and be faster than before - now is the time to put the acquired skills and knowledge to the test.
I do this only to see what I‘m capable of. I’m motivated and inspired by my own progress and getting to know how my body and mind function. Since I have already successfully passed 40-times ultra-triathlon before, then only from the 41st day I can tell myself that I have gone further in distance. So far, I have to keep my daily motivation high and focus in place. That is why I set myself several goals to be faster than before.
Here are the three most important time goals I will pursue:
  1. To finish all 60 full-length triathlons in less than 12 hours. For example, in 40 times ultra-triathlon, this goal was achieved 39 times out of 40. On the last (40th) day, my finishing time was 12 hours and 2 seconds :).
  2. My goal is to run all 60 marathons (having previously swam 3.8 km and driven 180 km) in less than 4 hours. Similar goal was achieved during the 20- and 40-times ultra-triathlon in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
  3. I’m trying to finish all 60 full-length triathlons in an average time of less than 11 hours, i.e. to complete the challenge in less than 660 hours. In other words, the goal is to be faster than before. For example, during the 40-times ultra-triathlon, it took me an average of 11 hours and 6 minutes to finish the day.
A team of more than 50 people will contribute to the success of my challenge. They take turns helping me on the spot for 60 days. I would not be able to organize such a large-scale event without the help of supporters, partners and fans. For example, my 40-times ultra-triathlon challenge in 2019 was co-funded by more than 700 fans.

If my actions speak to you and you want to contribute to it, you can do so on the same page (see below). You can find out more about the costs of organizing and conducting the 60-times ultratriathlon here.

Finally, I hope you've found, or will eventually find in life, what makes your eyes shine and your heart beat fast, like ultrasport does it to me.

Thank you
