217 kM

On the scorching hot asphalt

Elevation gain

4, 450 meters

Location and Date:
June 25-26, 2023 | Death Valley, USA

Challenge Goal:
To run from Badwater Basin (−86 meters below sea level) through Death Valley to the highest peak in mainland America, Mount Whitney (4421 meters).
Note: Due to Mount Whitney being snow-covered in late June, the challenge concluded at the base of Mount Whitney at 2548 meters, completing the Badwater135 route.

Result:
This challenge turned into one of the toughest experiences so far due to mistakes in preparation and equipment choices. After covering the distance of two marathons, I had to abandon all time targets and concentrate solely on reaching the finish line.

Completion Time: 40 hours, 9 minutes, 50 seconds.
